  • Stage 1 targets 70 MW solar and a 140 MW battery system.
  • Long-term development options carry an estimated capital expenditure of roughly $2 billion.

1414 Degrees (ASX:14D) has invited expressions of interest from strategic funding and development partners to build Stage 1 of its flagship Aurora Energy precinct in South Australia.

The solicitation comes shortly after the energy technology firm completed an agreement to acquire 100% of SiliconAurora to secure total control over the site.

1414 Degrees’ Executive Chairman Dr Kevin Moriarty said, "With ownership secured and transmission line access well advanced, we are working to lock in power purchase agreements and attract investors to develop Aurora’s grid-scale."

Stage 1 targets 70 MW of solar power and a 140 MW battery storage system, requiring an indicative capital outlay of $350–550 million.

The company stated that successful partners will gain future development rights across the full 1,580-hectare precinct, which holds an estimated potential investment value of $2 billion.

Following the announcement, the 1414 Degrees share price was up at $0.065.

The site sits 25km north of Port Augusta next to a 275 kV transmission line supplying major regional industrial users.

The broader property operates under a long-term Crown lease with potential expandability up to 2 GW of solar and 1 GW of firm energy capacity.
