Lake Resources (ASX:LKE) is a lithium exploration and development company focused on its flagship Kachi Lithium Brine Project in Argentina. The Kachi Project is one of the largest lithium brine projects in the world, with a resource of 4.4 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE). Lake Resources is developing the Kachi Project using a disruptive direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology from its partner, Lilac Solutions. DLE is a more environmentally friendly and sustainable way to produce lithium than traditional methods. Lake Resources aims to produce 50,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) of battery quality lithium carbonate from the Kachi Project in 2024. The company is also advancing development projects at its Olaroz, Cauchari, and Paso projects, targeting annual production of 100,000 tonnes of high purity lithium chemical to market by 2030.
