
Askari Metals (ASX:AS2) is a mining company focused on exploring and developing battery metals, uranium and critical minerals in Africa and Australia. Askari Metals' flagship project, the Uis Lithium Project, is located in Namibia and covers over 300 square kilometers. It boasts over 120 mapped pegmatites, some historically mined for tin and gemstones. Exploration has identified lithium grades reaching up to 3.3% Li2O alongside other valuable minerals like tantalum, tin, and rubidium. The company purchased the Matemanga Uranium Project in Tanzania in February 2024. This project spans 264 square kilometers and is located in southern Tanzania, known for its uranium-rich geological formations. It also has a portfolio of Australian projects encompassing lithium, rare earth elements (REE), and gold.
