
Textron revenue gains 3% to $3.8 billion
- Textron reported second-quarter revenue of $3.8 billion, up 3% from the prior year.
- Adjusted earnings per share increased to $1.62 from $1.55, while reported EPS reached $1.42.
- The company began a sale process for its Industrial Segment and reaffirmed its full-year earnings outlook.
Textron (NYSE:TXT) reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $3.8 billion, up 3%, or $111 million, from the prior-year period.
Reported earnings per share increased to $1.42 from $1.35, while adjusted earnings per share rose to $1.62 from $1.55 a year earlier.
Net cash provided by manufacturing operations fell to $235 million from $395 million, while manufacturing cash flow before pension contributions declined to $154 million from $336 million and the company repurchased $209 million of shares.
Textron also reaffirmed full-year GAAP earnings per share guidance of $5.39 to $5.59 and adjusted EPS guidance of $6.40 to $6.60.
Meanwhile, Textron operates aviation, defence, specialised vehicle and industrial businesses through brands including Bell, Textron Aviation and other manufacturing operations.
Additionally, the company initiated a sale process for its Industrial Segment and said its outlook assumes additional funding for the MV-75 Cheyenne programme, without which adjusted EPS could fall by $0.20 to $0.30 and cash flow could decline by $150 million to $250 million.
