Jaguar Health (NASDAQ:JAGX) announced that an abstract covering preliminary results from an adult short bowel syndrome study has been accepted for presentation at the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) 2026 meeting.
The abstract focuses on an ongoing open-label study evaluating crofelemer in adults with short bowel syndrome and intestinal failure (SBS-IF).
Jaguar Health said the ACG 2026 presentation will take place during the meeting scheduled for October 9–14, 2026, while Napo Pharmaceuticals continues a controlled Phase 2 trial of crofelemer in adults with Type 1 short bowel syndrome.
The company said results from the Phase 2 trial are expected in the early second half of 2027, while previously presented pediatric investigations reported reduced weekly parenteral support requirements after more than one year of oral liquid crofelemer treatment.
Jaguar said it plans to submit a drug application for microvillus inclusion disease in mid-2027.
