Jaguar Health advances MVID drug trial
- Jaguar Health (NASDAQ:JAGX) reported all randomized pediatric MVID patients entered the crofelemer extension phase.
- The trial is evaluating crofelemer as an adjunctive therapy to parenteral support in microvillus inclusion disease.

Jaguar Health (NASDAQ:JAGX) reported that all randomized pediatric patients with microvillus inclusion disease have entered the single-blind extension phase of Napo Pharmaceuticals’ pivotal crossover trial evaluating crofelemer.
The trial is being conducted at multiple centers in the United States, European Union, and United Arab Emirates and is designed to evaluate crofelemer as an adjunctive therapy to parenteral support.
An independent Data Monitoring Committee reviewed safety and tolerability data from the randomized double-blind crossover period and authorized continuation of active crofelemer treatment in the extension phase.
Jaguar Health said the ongoing study is expected to support a potential New Drug Application filing for the MVID indication in mid-2027.
Previous investigational data showed reductions in weekly parenteral support requirements, including reductions of up to 48% in one MVID patient and up to 40% in two SBS-IF patients after more than 12 months of high-dose oral crofelemer.
