CAAP reports 0.9% August passenger traffic decline

Corporación América Airports (NYSE:CAAP) reported a 0.9% year-over-year decline in total passenger traffic in August 2026, with international growth partially offsetting lower domestic volumes.

The company said international traffic increased 4.5% year-over-year, while domestic traffic declined 7.4%, mainly due to weaker activity in Argentina and Brazil.

In Argentina, passenger traffic declined 5.3% year-over-year as domestic traffic fell 8.4%, while international traffic increased 1.2% due to higher capacity per operation and improved load factors.

CAAP reported passenger growth in Armenia, Uruguay, Italy, Ecuador, Brazil, and Argentina’s international operations, with Armenia posting a 14.1% increase during the month.

Corporación América Airports operates airports across Latin America and Europe, including facilities in Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Italy, Uruguay, and Armenia.

Cargo volume declined 1.8% year-over-year in August, while aircraft movements decreased 3.5% compared with the same period in 2025.
