Toyota Finance launched a ¥1 billion tokenised bond that retail investors can buy through Toyota Wallet.

Applications start at ¥100,000, while the one-year bond offers an annual interest rate of 1.72%.

The bond is Toyota Finance’s second security token bond after its first issue in March 2025.

Toyota Finance will manage the bond using blockchain infrastructure from Japanese security-token firm BOOSTRY.

The company said investors can apply, receive bond updates and access benefits through the same mobile payment ecosystem.

Investors may also receive Toyota Wallet balances and benefits linked to Fuji Speedway and Toyota vehicle experiences.

The offering expands Toyota Finance’s use of security tokens by allowing retail investors to access bonds without a securities account.
