Chainalysis challenges $95M ICE contract
- Chainalysis challenged a $94.6 million ICE contract awarded to rival TRM Labs without competition.
- The one-year contract covers blockchain forensic software and support for Homeland Security Task Force investigations.
- A federal court has scheduled oral arguments for 2 September, while the government seeks a decision by 10 September.
Chainalysis Government Solutions has sued the US government over a $94.6 million ICE contract awarded to TRM Labs.
The one-year contract covers blockchain forensic software and support services for Homeland Security Task Force investigations.
Chainalysis said ICE’s decision was “arbitrary, capricious, and unreasonable” after the agency chose a sole-source process.
Chainalysis filed its challenge in the US Court of Federal Claims on 27 July, while TRM Labs joined the case one day later.
The complaint remains sealed because it contains confidential business information and trade secrets, leaving its specific objections undisclosed.
The court scheduled responses from the government and TRM Labs for 21 August, with oral arguments set for 2 September.
The government has requested a decision by 10 September, while Chainalysis and ICE had not commented before publication.
