Can one portal fix crypto's fragmented liquidity?
Hong Kong-based crypto market maker Auros has launched Aurora, an OTC trading portal giving institutions access to its liquidity across centralised and decentralised venues through a single counterparty.
In this interview, Alain Balandras, Head of OTC at Auros, explains how Aurora works, the macro risks facing institutional flows, and the opportunity in Asia.
Aurora combines click-to-trade execution, settlement workflows and reporting in one portal. It has a 24/7 trading desk and uses proprietary technology to source liquidity across venues in real time.
Auros research published on 28 September found that 73% of institutional investors plan to increase their digital asset allocations in 2026, and the firm also runs proprietary trading and a venture arm, Auros Ventures.
