Zodia Custody's next chapter: Standard Chartered acquires remaining stake

Zodia Custody is transitioning to full ownership under Standard Chartered, which is acquiring the remaining stake in the regulated digital asset custodian, subject to regulatory clearance.

Under the buyout, Zodia’s core custody operations join Standard Chartered's Financing and Securities Services unit, while its technology stack spins out as Zodia Solutions under SC Ventures—a strategic expansion backed by a fresh European MiCA licence, 150 global staff, and major institution backers including Northern Trust, SBI Holdings, Emirates NBD, and National Australia Bank.
