SportsHero partners with Maxis to enter Malaysia

SportsHero (ASX:SHO) has signed a partnership agreement with Maxis to launch its digital gaming product, HeroPlay, into the Malaysian market.

This agreement marks the company's entry into a new Southeast Asian market alongside its fourth major regional telecommunications partner.

The company stated that the deal includes full marketing support from Maxis to target its base of 10.8 million customers.

Under the revenue-sharing arrangement, SportsHero will retain 65% of generated revenue, while Maxis receives the remaining 35%.

Platform integration will begin immediately, with live operations expected in the December quarter.

Following the announcement, the SportsHero share price was up at $0.049.

The platform will allow customers to pay for subscriptions using Direct Carrier Billing through their existing phone accounts.

Management noted that average subscription values in Malaysia are planned to be 2.6 to 3.2 times higher than in Indonesia.
