ResMed (ASX:RMD) reported first-quarter revenue for fiscal year 2027 grew 6% to US$1.4 billion, reflecting sustained global demand for its sleep and breathing health solutions.

The quarterly revenue represents a 7% increase on a core constant currency basis, while GAAP diluted earnings per share rose 23% year over year to US$2.92.

"We began fiscal year 2027 with a strong first quarter, driven by continued global demand for our sleep and breathing health solutions and ongoing execution across our business," said ResMed Chairman and CEO Mick Farrell.

Capital allocation for the quarter was supported by free cash flow and proceeds from the divestiture of MatrixCare, allowing the business to return over US$1 billion to shareholders via buybacks and dividends.

Operational milestones included the U.S. launch of the AirTouch F40 mask alongside new commercial partnerships with Eight Sleep and NASCAR driver Tyler Reddick.

Following the announcement, the ResMed share price was unchanged at $35.38.

The company stated that its forward strategy relies on extending its digital health ecosystem to deliver care directly into patient homes.

Board leadership will also transition as Carol Burt becomes lead director on Nov. 15, succeeding retiring director Ron Taylor.
