Pepper Money reports $50.4M H1 profit

Pepper Money (ASX:PPM) reported a statutory net profit after tax of $50.4 million for the first half of 2026.

The statutory result marked a 7% increase compared to the previous corresponding period.

Pro-forma net profit after tax climbed 15% to $53.9 million. Total originations grew by 40% to reach $6.3 billion during the six-month period.

Total assets under management reached a record $24 billion while net interest margins closed at 2.10%.

Pepper Money’s CEO, Mario Rehayem, said, "Our impressive volume growth was also achieved without compromising margins, with total net interest margin increasing 12 bps to 2.10% from 1.98% in H1 2025.”

Following the announcement, the Pepper Money share price was up at $1.84.

The company declared a fully franked interim dividend of 7.2 cents per share.

Mortgage originations closed at $4.5 billion with prime lending representing 79% of that volume.

Asset finance originations contributed $1.7 billion as the business maintained its diversified lending operations.
