Aquirian secures $21M Mt Ida contract extension
- Aquirian secured a three-year contract extension valued at approximately $21 million for the Mt Ida Gold Project.
- The agreement extends Western Energetics' supply term through to Dec. 31, 2030 without requiring any additional capital expenditure.
- The extension aims to improve long-term revenue visibility while strengthening the company's technology and energetics market presence.
Mining services provider Aquirian (ASX:AQN) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Western Energetics has secured a three-year contract extension valued at approximately $21 million.
The award builds upon the existing supply agreement with Aurenne Mt Ida Gold, extending Western Energetics' supply of technology and energetics through to 31 December 2030.
"The additional three-year term at Mt Ida is another strong endorsement of the relationship we have developed together and the ongoing service levels delivered by our team," said Aquirian Managing Director Greg Patching.
The company stated that no additional capital expenditure is required to fulfil the extended terms of the agreement.
Following the announcement, the Aquirian share price was unchanged at $0.36.
The contract extension reflects the operational growth of the Mt Ida Gold Project from an early-stage venture into a primary gold producer.
Aquirian has stated that it continues to pursue similar technology and energetics supply partnerships across the emerging gold sector.
