XPENG (NASDAQ:XPEV) solidified its position as a frontrunner in the global electric vehicle race on Monday, unveiling its 2026 flagship P7+ and a suite of "Physical AI" milestones that signal a decisive shift toward autonomous mobility.

The 2026 P7+ marks a pivotal moment for the Guangzhou-based automaker, debuting as a truly global product destined for 36 countries.

For the first time, the model features a dual-powertrain strategy, offering both an 800V battery-electric (BEV) version and a world-leading extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variant capable of a 1,550 km mixed range.

The launch was punctuated by a production milestone as the 100,000th P7+ rolled off the Guangzhou assembly line on January 9, just 14 months after the model’s initial debut.

Meanwhile, XPENG’s "In Europe, For Europe" strategy reached a fever pitch as the company confirmed the completion of trial production for the P7+ at Magna Steyr’s plant in Graz, Austria.

This localized assembly is designed to bypass rising EU trade barriers and underscores a massive year of growth.

For the full year 2025, XPENG delivered a record 429,445 vehicles worldwide, representing a 126% increase from 2024.

Overseas deliveries reached 45,008 units, up 96% year-over-year, while European deliveries surged 126% to 22,787 vehicles, reflecting strong momentum in key export markets.

At the heart of XPENG’s 2026 roadmap is the VLA2.0 (Vision-Language-Action) AI model.

Unlike traditional driving software, VLA2.0 is a foundational "physical world" model that processes visual signals directly into driving actions, bypassing the latency of language translation.

XPENG plans to begin over-the-air (OTA) deployment of this L4-capable software to customers in March 2026.

The company is simultaneously leveraging this tech to launch trial operations for its in-house developed Robotaxi, which features a dual-redundancy hardware architecture and is designed to operate worldwide without the need for high-definition maps or LiDAR.
