Victory Metals (ASX:VTM) announced a landmark strategic partnership with Curtin University to accelerate the development of the North Stanmore Heavy Rare Earth and Strategic Defence Metal Project.
The collaboration, supported by the Australian Government-backed Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Trailblazer initiative, aims to position Australia as a premier global leader in the production of critical minerals essential for clean energy, electric vehicles, and advanced defense technologies.
The partnership leverages Curtin University’s world-class technical expertise to bridge the gap between academic research and industrial commercialisation.
Curtin will provide specialist staff focused on water management, recycling, recovery, and metallurgy to optimise the extraction process.
A central component of this alliance is the co-development of a pilot plant at Victory’s facility in Burswood, Western Australia.
The facility will serve as a testing ground for sustainable resource technologies and advanced mineral processing.
Professor Mark Buntine, Head of Curtin's Western Australian School of Mines, emphasised that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to translating high-level research into significant industry outcomes.
At the time of reporting, Victory Metals' share price was $1.24.
