Texas Capital Bancshares (NASDAQ:TCBI) shares are set to test new highs after the Dallas-based lender reported fourth-quarter earnings that significantly outpaced Wall Street estimates, bolstered by a fresh share repurchase authorization.

The company posted net income available to common stockholders of $96.3 million, or $2.12 per diluted share—a 44% increase over the same period last year and well above the analyst consensus of $1.78.

The quarter’s performance was driven by the successful execution of the bank's multi-year transformation strategy, which saw net interest margin expand to 3.38%.

For the full year 2025, Texas Capital achieved net income of $312.9 million, or $6.79 per share, as the firm’s pivot toward high-value middle-market commercial banking and an expanded investment banking platform took hold.

Efficiency improved notably, with the adjusted efficiency ratio falling to 56.9% for the quarter, down from 60.7% a year ago.

Meanwhile, shareholder returns remained a priority as the board authorized a new $200 million share repurchase program through 2026, following the buyback of 1.4 million shares in the final quarter of 2025 alone.

"Consecutive strong quarters to close 2025 validate our transformation and demonstrate the resilience of our business model," said CEO Rob C. Holmes.

With a Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio of 12.1% and tangible book value per share climbing 13% to $75.25, the bank enters 2026 with a fortress balance sheet and significant momentum in its core Texas markets.
