Temas Resources (ASX:TIO) entered into a letter of intent with 1542642 B.C. to validate and commercialise its patented regenerative chloride leach technology.
The partnership focuses on ore from the Revel Ridge Polymetallic Project, a significant deposit containing 3 million ounces of gold at a high-grade $6.4 gold equivalent.
Under the terms of the agreement, the private developer will fully fund bench-scale and pilot-scale test work, providing a capital-efficient pathway for Temas to demonstrate the efficacy of its metallurgical platform on a complex, refractory gold system.
Refractory gold presents a massive global challenge, with approximately 22% of the world's gold resources currently "locked" in these difficult-to-process deposits.
Temas’ RCL technology, which holds 11 granted patents for the extraction of gold, titanium, nickel, and rare earths, aims to improve recovery rates while reducing environmental liabilities and tailings impacts.
Testing is expected to lead to a Temas-controlled joint venture (structured 80/20 in favor of Temas) specifically designed to deploy and license the RCL platform across Western North America.
CEO Tim Fernback emphasised that this program is a pivotal step in establishing a commercial reference point for the industry.
At the time of reporting, Temas Resources' share price was $0.18.
