
Strategy has completed another Bitcoin acquisition in late December, rounding out a year marked by accelerated accumulation.
The company disclosed the purchase in a Form 8-K filing released on Monday.
Strategy acquired 1,229 Bitcoin between Dec. 22 and Dec. 28 for a total cost of $108.8 million.
The purchase was funded through at-the-market sales of Class A common stock.
Following the transaction, Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings increased to 672,497 BTC.
The company reported an average purchase price of $74,997 per Bitcoin across its holdings.
Compared with earlier transactions, the latest buy ranks among Strategy’s smaller acquisitions in 2025.
Data from SaylorTracker shows Strategy’s largest purchase this year occurred on March 31.
On that date, the company acquired approximately 22,049 BTC for around $1.92 billion.
Additional large purchases included roughly 21,021 BTC for $2.46 billion on July 29.
Strategy also bought about 20,356 BTC for nearly $1.99 billion on Feb. 24.
SaylorTracker data shows Strategy disclosed Bitcoin purchases during 41 separate weeks in 2025.
This compares with 18 purchase disclosures in 2024 and eight in 2023.
The company ended 2024 holding 447,470 Bitcoin, based on regulatory filings.
Strategy began accumulating Bitcoin in 2020 under the leadership of co-founder Michael Saylor.
It remains the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin by a significant margin.

Strategy has relied on equity offerings, including preferred shares, to fund its Bitcoin strategy.
From Dec. 22 to Dec. 28, the company sold 663,450 common shares to finance the latest buy.
The transaction lifted Strategy’s year-to-date Bitcoin yield to 23.2%.
The yield metric measures Bitcoin growth relative to shares outstanding.
Public companies collectively hold more than 1.08 million Bitcoin across 192 firms.
Most corporate Bitcoin holders are based in the United States, followed by Canada, the United Kingdom and Japan.
Several firms launched Bitcoin treasury strategies in 2025, following Strategy’s approach.
Twenty One Capital now holds more than 43,500 BTC after launching its strategy in April.
Other notable holders include Bullish, Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company and Trump Media & Technology Group.
