New York-based Rithm Capital (NYSE:RITM) reported decisive progress in its transformation into a global alternative asset manager, with full-year 2025 earnings available for distribution (EAD) reaching $1.3 billion, or $2.35 per share, delivering a 19% return on equity that significantly outpaced the prior year.

Fourth-quarter EAD totaled $418.9 million, or $0.74 per share, comfortably exceeding Wall Street consensus estimates of $0.58.

The year was defined by an aggressive M&A strategy that propelled Rithm’s investable assets beyond the $100 billion threshold.

Key transactions included the 2023 acquisition of Sculptor Capital Management—now managing approximately $38 billion in AUM—and the late-2025 closings of Crestline Management and Paramount Group.

These deals have diversified revenue streams away from interest-rate-sensitive mortgage servicing rights toward higher-margin, fee-generating businesses in private credit, real estate, and energy infrastructure.

Despite the strategic pivot, Rithm’s mortgage platform, Newrez, remained a core profit driver, generating a 20% operating return on equity and managing a servicing portfolio of $852 billion.

Meanwhile, the company maintained its quarterly dividend of $0.25 per share, supported by a payout ratio of roughly 69% of EAD.

With a book value of $12.66 per share and nearly $2 billion in liquidity, the company aims to narrow its 15% valuation discount to book value as its unified ecosystem model gains traction among institutional investors
