Kraken has pledged support for Trump Accounts in Wyoming, funding savings accounts created for newborns in the state under a new federal pilot programme.
The announcement was made by Cynthia Lummis, who said Kraken would provide financial backing for all eligible Trump Accounts established for children born in Wyoming.
“Grateful to Kraken for their commitment to Wyoming’s next generation and to the Cowboy State’s economic future,”
Lummis said.
Kraken co-chief executive Dave Ripley said the company selected Wyoming due to its favourable crypto regulatory environment, noting that the state serves as the exchange’s global headquarters.
“We picked Wyoming as our global HQ because it leads with thoughtful, responsible crypto policy. We want to keep investing back in the community we call home,”
Ripley said.
Under the federal pilot scheme, the US government will seed Trump Accounts with $1,000 for children born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028, with major financial institutions including JPMorgan, Bank of America and Wells Fargo also offering support.
The move follows similar community initiatives by crypto-related firms, including Polymarket’s grocery donation programme in New York City and a Manhattan giveaway by prediction-market platform Kalshi.
