HyTerra (ASX:HYT) signed a collaboration agreement with Prometheus Hydrogen, aiming to demonstrate an end-to-end geologic hydrogen project within the Continental United States.
The strategic partnership combines HyTerra's expertise in geologic hydrogen exploration and production with Prometheus Hydrogen’s proprietary technologies for purification, storage, transport, and delivery.
The primary objective of this joint demonstration is to validate a complete, integrated value chain—from subsurface production to final delivery to an end user—by Dec. 1.
The project is significant as it is expected to represent one of the first demonstrations of its kind in the United States.
Both parties have agreed to act on an exclusive basis during the term of the agreement, preventing either side from conducting a competing demonstration.
While the demonstration is currently a proof-of-concept without binding offtake or pricing arrangements, success could pave the way for a broader commercial relationship.
Following the completion of the project, the companies plan to discuss long-term supply arrangements, particularly for delivering geologic hydrogen to Prometheus Hydrogen customers involved in US government and defence-related applications.
At the time of reporting, HyTerra’s share price was $0.016.
