Elbit Systems (NASDAQ:ESLT) announced on Feb. 18, 2026, that it has been awarded contracts totaling approximately $277 million by an unnamed international customer to supply 30mm turrets and associated munitions.
The agreement, which will be executed over a three-year period, further bolsters Elbit’s massive order backlog, which stood at a record $25.2 billion as of late 2025.
The centerpiece of the contract is the UT30MK2, a highly configurable turret designed for armored personnel carriers (APCs).
The system’s "open architecture" design is a key selling point for modern militaries, as it allows operators to toggle between manned and unmanned configurations without specialized workshop overhauls.
This flexibility, paired with a very low profile, reduces the vehicle's battlefield silhouette while significantly enhancing its lethality.
The UT30MK2 integrates a 30mm main gun with a coaxial 7.62mm weapon and fully integrated anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs).
This latest win comes just one day after Elbit announced a separate $435 million suite of contracts for advanced land systems and defense development, signaling a period of rapid international expansion for the Haifa-based contractor.
