Chainlink Labs confirmed Lindman’s departure after five years at the company, while SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce, who leads the task force, also announced the appointment.
“We thank Taylor for his great five years as a key part of the Chainlink Labs team in his role as deputy general counsel,”
Chainlink Labs said, adding that it looked forward to “modernising the US financial system together.”
Lindman succeeds Michael Selig, who left the SEC role in December before becoming chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
During more than five years at Chainlink, Lindman oversaw compliance with US and international regulations and participated in meetings with regulators to discuss token taxonomy and securities record-keeping frameworks.
He previously worked at Perkins Coie and Debevoise & Plimpton, bringing roughly a decade of legal experience to the SEC’s digital asset oversight efforts.
The SEC Crypto Task Force, formed amid a broader policy shift under the Trump administration, continues to engage with industry participants and academics as it shapes regulatory approaches to digital assets in the United States.
At the time of reporting, Chainlink price was $8.21.
