Canadian Solar (NASDAQ:CSIQ) reported its fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 financial results on March 19, 2026, highlighting a year of strategic transition toward high-growth energy storage and localized U.S. manufacturing.

For the full year, the company delivered 24.3 GW of solar modules and reached a historic milestone in its energy storage segment with 7.8 GWh in shipments.

The e-STORAGE business enters 2026 with a record contracted backlog of $3.6 billion, emphasizing the company's shift toward becoming a diversified renewable energy infrastructure leader.

The fourth quarter reflected the broader industry downturn and pricing pressures in the solar market.

Net revenues for the quarter were $1.2 billion, an 18% sequential decline, resulting in a GAAP net loss of $86 million.

Gross margin for Q4 stood at 10.2%, affected by lower average selling prices for modules.

To fortify its balance sheet and fund its aggressive expansion, Canadian Solar completed a $230 million convertible bond offering in January 2026, providing the capital necessary to accelerate its "reshoring" efforts in North America.

A central pillar of the company’s 2026 strategy is the expansion of its domestic U.S. supply chain.

The module assembly factory in Mesquite, Texas, has successfully ramped to an annual run rate exceeding 5 GW, with plans to double that capacity to 10 GWp by the second half of 2026.

Simultaneously, the company is nearing the launch of its solar cell plant in Jeffersonville, Indiana, with the first cells expected to roll off the line by the end of March 2026.

Meanwhile, management issued optimistic guidance for the first quarter of 2026, projecting revenue between $900 million and $1.1 billion with an improved gross margin of 13% to 15%.
