Binance’s mobile application has been removed from the Philippine version of the Google Play Store, according to local media reports.
Users searching for Binance are reportedly redirected to local exchange Coins.ph or region-specific Binance apps, while some Filipinos have also encountered website access errors including “Privacy Error” and “Site can’t be reached.”
At the time of reporting, Binance had not issued a public statement on the app’s unavailability in the country.
The development follows regulatory action by the Securities and Exchange Commission Philippines, which previously asked Google and Apple to remove the app over allegations that Binance was offering unregistered securities.
The National Telecommunications Commission had earlier blocked access to Binance’s website nationwide, citing violations of the Securities Regulation Code.
Philippine authorities have taken similar measures against other foreign crypto exchanges deemed to be operating without proper licences.
Binance has faced regulatory challenges in multiple jurisdictions, including India, where it resumed operations after paying fines and registering with local authorities.
