ArcBest (NASDAQ:ARCB) reported a net loss for the fourth quarter as the logistics provider grappled with a persistent downturn in the freight market and noncash impairment charges.

The Fort Smith, Arkansas-based company, a key player in the less-than-truckload (LTL) and supply chain sectors, saw revenue slip below $1 billion for the final period of 2025.

The company reported a net loss from continuing operations of $8.1 million, or $0.36 per diluted share, a sharp reversal from the $29 million profit recorded in the same period a year ago.

Results were hindered by a $9.1 million after-tax, noncash impairment charge.

Excluding these and other items, ArcBest posted an adjusted profit of $0.36 per share, though this still fell significantly short of the $1.33 reported in the prior year.

Quarterly revenue totaled $972.7 million, down from $1 billion a year earlier, reflecting a broader cooling in the logistics industry.

For the full year, revenue reached $4 billion, a decline from $4.2 billion in 2024.

Full-year net income plummeted to $60.1 million from $173.4 million, though the previous year's figures were bolstered by a substantial one-time benefit related to the MoLo acquisition.
