Amentum (NYSE:AMTM) solidified its status as a cornerstone of the UK’s energy infrastructure on Tuesday, announcing a suite of new contracts from Électricité de France (EDF) worth up to $730 million (£540 million).

The agreement significantly scales Amentum’s involvement in both the maintenance of the UK's current nuclear fleet and the development of next-generation gigawatt power stations.

The award builds upon Amentum's established track record in high-stakes energy and environmental international business.

Under the terms of the deal, the company will deploy more than 1,000 UK-based specialists to provide a full breadth of nuclear skills, solutions, and products.

These resources are essential to the continued operation and life extension of the UK’s existing nuclear fleet, which remains a critical component of the nation's baseline power supply.

Beyond maintenance, the contract further embeds Amentum into the construction of Hinkley Point C, the UK’s first new nuclear power station in a generation.

The project is central to the country's transition to a low-carbon grid and represents one of the largest civil engineering undertakings in Europe.
