US President Donald Trump has appointed 13 members from the crypto, blockchain, AI, and technology sectors to his Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
The group includes Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, and Oracle CTO Larry Ellison, among other industry leaders.
“The council will advise the President on matters involving science, technology, education, and innovation policy,”
According to the White House.
The advisory body, which could expand to 24 members, will be co-chaired by White House AI and crypto czar David Sacks and science advisor Michael Kratsios.
The appointments come as the administration pushes forward a national AI framework and broader technology policy agenda, including efforts to shape federal legislation.
Meanwhile, progress on crypto market structure legislation in Congress remains stalled, with delays in Senate committees and industry concerns over proposed provisions.
The council’s formation signals closer alignment between the US government and major technology and crypto leaders as policy direction continues to evolve.
