California Governor Gavin Newsom has launched a new page on the state’s official website criticising President Donald Trump’s ties to convicted individuals, including figures linked to cryptocurrency.
The initiative highlights people who have received presidential pardons and frames them as part of Trump’s inner political circle.
Newsom has positioned the website as a public-facing resource designed to consolidate information for voters and residents.
The page is described as “tracking Trump’s top 10 criminal cronies,” with several high-profile crypto cases included.
Former Binance chief executive Changpeng “CZ” Zhao is featured following a presidential pardon granted in October.
Ross Ulbricht, the founder of the Silk Road marketplace, is also listed after being pardoned during Trump’s first month in office.
The co-founders of crypto exchange BitMEX appear on the page after receiving pardons earlier this year.
Stylised mugshots accompany each profile, including one of Trump, all marked with a prominent “FELON” stamp.
“Trump is a felon who surrounds himself with scammers and drug traffickers,” Gavin Newsom said.
