Tower (ASX:TWR) appointed Simon Hoole as its Interim CFO, effective May 1.
The move is designed to ensure operational continuity and financial stability while the insurance giant continues its comprehensive recruitment process for a permanent successor.
Hoole brings a wealth of specialised expertise in the insurance and financial services industries.
His professional background is distinguished by a focus on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and large-scale organisational transformation.
Most recently, he served as the Group Finance Director at Datacom, where he also held the mantle of Interim CFO for the technology firm.
His extensive resume includes previous CFO tenures at Villa Maria Estate and Resolution Life (formerly AMP Life), alongside several senior leadership roles within the AMP Group, specifically serving as CFO of AMP New Zealand.
Tower CEO Paul Johnston expressed strong confidence in the appointment, welcoming Hoole’s deep industry knowledge during this transitional phase.
Johnston also took the opportunity to acknowledge the outgoing leadership of Angus Shelton, who has served as Interim CFO following his time as Deputy CFO.
Shelton is scheduled to begin a period of planned extended leave starting May 1.
Johnston praised Shelton's contributions, noting that his guidance during a period of change has positioned the company strongly for future growth and modernised its financial foundations.
