Terrain Minerals (ASX:TMX) announced a temporary pause in its 2025 reverse circulation drilling campaign at the 100% owned Smokebush Gold Project to allow staff to celebrate Christmas and New Year with family.

The break also supports occupational health and safety protocols, as operations are conducted in remote areas approximately 350km north of Perth.

To date, 12 of 34 planned holes, totaling 2,459 metres, have been completed at the Lightning prospect, with assay results to be released once the program is concluded.

Drilling is set to resume in the second week of January 2026, after which the rig will move to the Wildflower prospect for a 13-hole, 2,300-metre campaign.

Lightning has recently been granted a mining lease, and Terrain aims to deliver its maiden JORC resource by mid-2026.

The company also successfully raised $2.8 million in the fourth quarter, including strong director participation of $450,000.
