Australian exploration company Noronex (ASX:NRX) commenced an extensive ground gravity survey at its Cgae Cgae Copper-Silver Project in Botswana.

The survey marks a step in the company's systematic exploration strategy within the highly prospective, yet under-explored, Kalahari Copper Belt.

The survey is specifically focused on the northern licence area of the project, aiming to map the covered KCB stratigraphy and structural features.

The operational update follows the recent completion of a maiden scout reverse circulation drilling program in the southern licence area, which comprised 35 holes totaling 2,655m.

Data collected from this gravity survey will be crucial for refining high-priority targets and planning the next phase of exploration drilling.

According to Noronex Managing Director and CEO, Victor Rajasooriar, the work is essential for improving the understanding of sub-surface geology beneath the Kalahari cover.

The exploration program is fully funded under an earn-in agreement with a wholly-owned subsidiary of South32 (ASX:S32).

At the time of reporting, Noronex's share price was $0.013.
