NexGen Energy (ASX:NXG) has announced a partnership with the Clearwater River Dene Nation and Métis Nation – Saskatchewan Local 39 to develop a 59-room hotel in La Loche, Saskatchewan.

The facility, which will include a conference center, restaurant, cultural heritage center, and playground, is expected to meet growing regional accommodation demand—particularly from the construction and operations of NexGen's Rook I Project—and create 36 full-time local jobs.

Under the agreement, the CRDN and MN-S Local 39 will assume full ownership and operation upon opening, with construction led by 3Twenty Modular and supported by Federal grant applications for local infrastructure.

NexGen CEO Leigh Curyer emphasised that the project reflects the company's long-standing commitment to meaningful collaboration with indigenous communities and broader regional economic growth.

"The hotel initiative is one example of NexGen's industry-leading approach to resource development, creating outcomes that extend well beyond the Rook I Project," Curyer said.

Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe called the project "an incredibly important milestone" that demonstrates how long-term partnerships can deliver generational benefits to Northern Saskatchewan communities.

At the time of reporting, NexGen Energy's share price was $18.31.
