Impact Minerals (ASX:IPT) has announced that its 50%-owned associate, Alluminous, has signed a technology collaboration agreement with US-based battery innovator Charge CCCV to jointly develop and qualify the HiPurA high purity alumina process for advanced battery applications.
The agreement marks a significant milestone in Impact's strategy to build a vertically integrated HPA business, leveraging Lake Hope feedstock and downstream modular production via Alluminous.
Under the non-exclusive agreement, Alluminous and C4V will work to develop HiPurA for battery applications including separator coatings, ceramic layers, solid-state components, and electrode interfaces, with C4V conducting full cell testing to meet global OEM standards—accelerating the pathway from pilot production to commercial readiness.
