Counter-drone firm DroneShield (ASX:DRO) has inaugurated its European headquarters in Amsterdam.
The opening, attended by high-ranking officials including Dutch State Secretary for Defence Derk Boswijk and Australian Ambassador Greg French, marks a pivotal expansion for the firm as it seeks to deepen ties with Continental procurement agencies and frontline end-users.
The new hub serves as the operational base for DroneShield’s EU Centre of Excellence, aligning the company’s trajectory with the European Union’s ReArm Europe Plan and the Readiness 2030 initiative.
The frameworks are designed to bolster regional industrial capacity and autonomous defence capabilities.
Beyond policy alignment, the Amsterdam office is positioned to "accelerate support for Ukraine," providing critical counter-UAS (unmanned aircraft systems) technology to the conflict zone with greater logistical agility.
Led by Chief Commercial Officer Louis Gamarra, the European division has grown to approximately a dozen staff members.
The expansion follows a record-breaking 2025 financial year, where Europe emerged as the company’s primary revenue driver, generating $98 million—representing 45% of its total global sales.
"This investment in Benelux is a major milestone," Gamarra noted during the launch, emphasising that a localised headquarters allows for faster, more integrated support for EU partners.
