Blockchain intelligence firm Arkham recently pointed out that several crypto addresses tied to notable figures and entities, such as Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) co-founder Vitalik Buterin and crypto exchange Coinbase, have millions of dollars either forgotten or stuck in bridge contracts.
Specifically, one wallet was highlighted for having $1.05 million trapped in the Optimism (CRYPTO:OP) bridge contract, which had previously received ETH from Buterin.
Arkham's analysis, based on evidence including two screenshots of fund movements involving the Arbitrum (CRYPTO:ARB) and Optimism bridges, brings attention to a broader issue affecting numerous accounts.
These findings reveal that there are dozens of addresses with significant amounts of money, ranging between six to seven figures, that are seemingly overlooked or stranded within bridge contracts.
