
Yum China delivers $3.1B revenue as sales jump 13%
- Yum China reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $3.14 billion, up 13% year over year.
- Operating profit increased 14% to $348 million, while diluted EPS rose 21% to $0.70.
- The company opened a record 560 net new stores and plans to complete its Pizza Hut China acquisition.
Yum China Holdings (NYSE:YUMC) reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $3.14 billion, up 13% year over year, supported by store expansion, delivery growth and higher system sales.
The company’s system sales increased 6% excluding foreign exchange effects, while same-store sales increased 1%, compared with the prior-year period, as KFC and Pizza Hut operations contributed to growth.
During the period under review, Yum China opened 560 net new stores, increasing its footprint to 19,297 locations, while delivery sales grew 26% and represented about 54% of company sales.
Yum China said it remains on track to return $1.5 billion to shareholders in 2026.
KFC system sales increased 7% with a 14.2% operating profit margin, while Pizza Hut system sales increased 6% and same-store sales returned to 1% growth, as the company returned $402 million to shareholders in Q2.
Yum China expects to complete the acquisition of the Pizza Hut brand in Mainland China in August 2026, financed through an approximately $1.2 billion offshore bridge loan.
