
Woodside director Tony O’Neill to resign in 2026
- Woodside Energy Group (NYSE:WDS) said non-executive director Tony O’Neill will resign effective 1 July 2026.
- O’Neill has served on Audit & Risk, Sustainability, and Governance committees since joining in June 2024.
- The company said he contributed to strategy work on sustainability and decarbonisation.
Woodside Energy Group (NYSE:WDS) announced that non-executive director Tony O’Neill will resign from the board effective 1 July 2026.
O’Neill joined the board in June 2024 and served across multiple committees, including Audit & Risk, Sustainability, and Nominations & Governance.
The company did not provide a replacement announcement alongside the resignation.
Woodside Chairman Richard Goyder thanked O’Neill for his contribution during what he described as a transformative period for the company.
Goyder said O’Neill provided “wise counsel and strategic guidance” on sustainability, decarbonisation, and operational performance.
The company said O’Neill supported board-level discussions on long-term energy transition strategy during his tenure.
Woodside continues to focus on its global energy portfolio and emissions reduction initiatives across its operations.
