Village Super Market (NASDAQ:VLGEA) reported fourth-quarter net income of $13.6 million alongside a 1.6 percent increase in total retail sales to $609.6 million.

The recent quarter marks a profit decline from the $15.5 million reported a year earlier as Class A diluted earnings per share fell to $0.92 from $1.05.

During the 13 weeks ended July 25, 2026, the retail grocer observed a 1.6 percent increase in same-store sales and a 6 percent rise in same-store digital sales.

Operating and administrative expenses expanded to 23.92 percent of total sales from 23.11 percent, effectively offsetting a minor gross margin improvement to 28.24 percent.

The company stated that it expects to maintain its digital sales momentum.

Over the complete 52-week fiscal year, total operating sales increased 3.7 percent to $2.406 billion with a corresponding 2.2 percent rise in annual same-store sales.

The overall fiscal year concluded with annual net income dropping to $52.5 million from $56.4 million as the company launched its East Orange replacement store on May 27, 2026.
