Vertiv (NYSE:VRT) acquired Georgetown, Texas-based Strategic Thermal Labs to expand its advanced direct-to-chip liquid cooling solutions for AI infrastructure.

The transaction addresses an industry need for advanced server-side liquid cooling as high-performance computing pushes power densities to unprecedented levels.

"The addition brings deep expertise and proven capability in addressing some of the industry's most demanding chip-level density and thermal problems," said Vertiv Chief Product and Technology Officer Scott Armul.

Brown Gibbons Lang & Company acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the target engineering firm throughout the strategic acquisition process.

Following the announcement the Vertiv (NYSE:VRT) share price was up at $289.56.

The acquisition builds upon a period of significant expansion for the digital infrastructure provider, which reported first-quarter revenue of $2.65 billion earlier this year.

The company continues to capitalize on the ongoing data center spending boom by aggressively expanding its portfolio of silicon-agnostic cooling systems.
