
VEON partners Mastercard to expand digital finance

The companies said the collaboration will combine VEON’s local digital platforms and data systems with Mastercard’s global payments infrastructure.
The planned services include AI-driven credit scoring, embedded finance products, digital wallets, merchant services, loyalty programs, and remittance solutions.
The companies said initial pilot programs will begin in Ukraine and Kazakhstan before potential expansion to other VEON markets.
VEON said the initiative builds on its existing digital ecosystem across emerging markets, while Mastercard contributes its global payment processing network.
The partnership reflects growing integration between telecom platforms and financial services providers in developing economies.
