Upbound Group (NASDAQ:UPBD) reported a 3.7% increase in consolidated revenue for the first quarter of 2026, reaching $1.2 billion as the company’s strategic push into financial technology begins to yield significant returns.

The results were highlighted by the standout performance of Brigit, the company's financial health app, which saw revenue soar more than 40% year-over-year.

The growth at Brigit was underpinned by double-digit increases in both paying subscribers and average revenue per user (ARPU), signaling strong consumer adoption of its financial planning and credit-building tools.

Meanwhile, the company’s larger segments showed signs of disciplined operational execution.

Acima, Upbound’s virtual lease-to-own arm, reported revenue of $649 million—a 1.8% increase—while successfully lowering its lease charge-off rate to 8.8%, a 130-basis-point sequential improvement.

The Rent-A-Center business also maintained its steady trajectory, with same-store sales growing 0.4% year-over-year.

Like Acima, the segment benefited from tighter risk management, posting a 20-basis-point sequential improvement in its charge-off rate.

These credit gains contributed to robust cash generation, with net cash provided by operating activities rising to $171 million, a $23 million increase over the prior year.

Looking ahead, Upbound reaffirmed its full-year 2026 financial outlook, projecting consolidated revenue between $4.70 billion and $4.95 billion.

The company expects non-GAAP diluted EPS to fall between $4 and $4.35 for the fiscal year.

For the upcoming second quarter, leadership anticipates revenue in the range of $1.1 billion to $1.2 billion with an adjusted EPS between $1 and $1.10.
