Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB) has moved to deepen its artificial intelligence capabilities within the construction sector, announcing an agreement to acquire Document Crunch, a provider of AI-powered contract intelligence and risk management tools.
The acquisition is designed to integrate Document Crunch’s specialized automated analysis into the Trimble Construction One ecosystem.
By embedding AI that can parse complex legal and technical documents, Trimble aims to help project teams identify risks, automate compliance, and streamline workflows that were previously manual and prone to error.
Document Crunch has established a significant footprint in the industry, with its technology deployed on more than 10,000 projects to date.
The platform focuses on high-friction areas of construction management, specifically targeting the reduction of payment disputes, notification failures, and contract compliance lapses.
The technology is already familiar to many Trimble users through existing integrations with Trimble ProjectSight and other core project management workflows.
Upon completion of the transaction, Document Crunch will be folded into Trimble's Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations (AECO) segment.
The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
