Takeda sees revenue rise 10.2% in first quarter

Takeda Pharmaceutical (NYSE:TAK) reported first-quarter revenue of ¥1.22 trillion, up 10.2%, as core brands offset weaker VYVANSE sales.

At constant exchange rates, revenue fell 0.5%, while reported operating profit rose 9.1% to ¥201.4 billion and net profit fell 8.9% to ¥113.2 billion.

Adjusted free cash flow fell 63.9% to ¥68.6 billion, while Takeda retained its ¥4.64 trillion revenue forecast and ¥650–750 billion cash-flow range.

Takeda kept its FY2026 outlook unchanged as it prepared three late-stage launches.

Meanwhile, the company plans about 4,500 job cuts in FY2026 and expects annual restructuring savings above ¥200 billion by FY2028.

Takeda’s recent moves include ORZEYFUL’s China approval, launch work on rusfertide and zasocitinib, and a December 11 Capital Markets Day in Tokyo.
