Stellantis (NYSE:STLA) announced on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, that estimated consolidated shipments for the first quarter of 2026 reached 1.4 million units, representing a 12% increase year-over-year.

The automaker cited robust momentum in North America and Enlarged Europe as the primary drivers of the quarterly beat, supported by a wave of new product launches and a strategic pivot in its reporting structure.

In North America, shipments rose by approximately 54,000 units, a 17% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

The growth was spearheaded by the high-margin Ram 1500 (light-duty) HEMI® V8, a refreshed Jeep® Grand Wagoneer, and the successful market debut of the all-new Jeep® Cherokee.

These three models alone accounted for more than 100% of the region’s year-over-year growth, effectively offsetting a temporary dip in Jeep Compass volumes during production ramp-ups.

Performance in "Enlarged Europe" was equally significant, with shipments increasing by 12% to approximately 637,000 units.

The company noted exceptional market reception for its Smart Car platform nameplates—including the Citroën C3, C3 Aircross, Opel/Vauxhall Frontera, and Fiat Grande Panda.

Shipments for these models surged by 85% year-over-year, reflecting consumer demand for accessible, multi-energy vehicle options.

The quarter also marked the commercial acceleration of Leapmotor International, the Stellantis-controlled joint venture.

Leapmotor shipments increased by 22,000 units to approximately 27,000 units, led by the T03 in the entry-level BEV segment.

In Italy, the T03 entered the top five best-selling models for the quarter, highlighting the brand’s rapid traction in European markets.r, we are capturing growth across both traditional and emerging segments."

The company also introduced several reporting changes this quarter.

Consolidated shipments now include Leapmotor International volumes and treat Maserati shipments on a "where sold" basis to better align with regional performance metrics.

Additionally, Stellantis reported a normalized inventory dynamic in Türkiye and a successful production ramp-up in Algeria, both of which contributed to an 11% shipment increase in the Middle East & Africa region.
