Collins Aerospace, a subsidiary of RTX (NYSE:RTX), has been awarded multiple contracts by Bell Textron to supply five mission-critical systems for the U.S. Army’s MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA).

The agreement, announced Monday, marks a significant expansion of the industrial base supporting the Army's next-generation tiltrotor platform.

Under the terms of the contracts, Collins will provide a suite of essential technologies designed to support the aircraft's increased speed and range requirements.

The systems include the main power generation, the interconnect drive system, SmartProbe® air data sensors, cockpit seating, and specialized ice protection.

These components are vital to the performance of the MV-75, which is intended to replace portions of the Army's aging Black Hawk fleet starting in the late 2020s.

The production phase will utilize commercial acquisition authorities, a strategy intended to streamline the procurement process and leverage existing commercial technological maturity for military application.

The work will be distributed across seven U.S. states, reinforcing the broad domestic supply chain for the FLRAA program.

Collins has cited its established manufacturing footprint in Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, and West Virginia as central to its ability to meet the Army's accelerated deployment schedule.

The MV-75, derived from the Bell V-280 Valor, is a cornerstone of the U.S. Army’s Future Vertical Lift initiative.

The aircraft is engineered to deliver significant leaps in agility and survivability in contested environments.
