Regeneron (NASDAQ:REGN) expanded its antibody alliance with Sanofi through an agreement covering four long-acting antibody candidates and a $1 billion upfront payment to Regeneron.
The companies will equally share development and commercialization costs, while future global profits from the collaboration will be split equally, with Regeneron eligible for up to an additional $7 billion in development, regulatory and commercial milestones.
The collaboration includes REGN20423, an IL-13-targeting antibody currently in Phase 1 testing for atopic dermatitis, while Regeneron and Sanofi expect the remaining three antibody candidates to enter clinical studies in 2027.
The expanded alliance builds on the companies’ existing antibody collaboration, with both companies continuing to evaluate therapies targeting immune-related diseases.
Regeneron also holds an option to add Sanofi’s investigational lunsekimig after completion of its Phase 3 trials for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
