Quantum-Si reports Proteus platform results
- Quantum-Si reported interim results showing its developmental Proteus platform outperformed Platinum Pro in several protein-sequencing measurements.
- Proteus generated higher alignment counts, lower false discovery rates, and broader protein detection in laboratory studies.
- The Proteus system remains under development and has not yet reached commercial availability.
Quantum-Si (NASDAQ:QSI) reported interim results showing that its developmental Proteus protein-sequencing platform outperformed its Platinum Pro system across multiple performance measures.
In a control peptide study, Proteus generated a median of 30 times more alignments per single chamber compared with Platinum Pro, while recording a median false discovery rate of 1.36% versus 6.58% for Platinum Pro.
Quantum-Si said Proteus identified all six control peptides in every run and detected between 1.6 and 2 times more peptides in prepared protein mixtures compared with previous results from Platinum Pro.
In a separate 24-protein panel study, Quantum-Si reported that Proteus detected all 24 proteins compared with an average of 20.3 proteins detected by Platinum Pro, while generating 4.3 times more amino acids per run.
The company said it expects a full four-chamber Proteus run to produce approximately 60 times more alignments than a two-chamber Platinum Pro run, while noting that the platform remains in development.
